WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women empowerment is the need of the hour as it helps the entire family of each beneficiary to become whole and to climb through the socio economic ladder. Most of the beneficiaries belong to very poor marginalized below poverty. We work on the development of the women of our society; we focus on their development, independence, for their rights, equality in the society. Women development is essential to the health and social development of families, communities and countries. ATSWA works for the holistic development of downtrodden women through awareness, education and sustainable economic improvement programs and helps them to live a decent quality life among their children, relatives and community.

1.Employable Skill Training

Employable skill training is given on retail management, financial management, basic computers, tally, personality development, soft skills, beautician, nursing, tailoring, aari work to secure their first job for good.

2. Livelihood Support

Providing livelihood support empowers individuals to boost their sustainable income or generate additional revenue by establishing new business ventures and evolving into entrepreneurs. This assistance also enhances existing businesses, enabling them to thrive and meet essential needs more effectively.

3. Health Care

Every year women are gathered and honored on 8th March to celebrate their growth, part in the development in all sphere heads of the economy. Eminent women personalities are selected and awarded to recognize their contributions towards women development and their achievements. They are also helped to remember international breast feeding week (1-7 Aug) to know the importance of breast feeding child after pregnancy, pre/post natal care, malnourishment, hygienic living, and so on.

Nutrition day (May 28) to know the importance of having nutritious food, raising their own nutritious greens & vegetables by establishing their own roof top kitchen gardens, avoid eating obesity causing foods, unhealthy road side preparation foods. A critical aspect of health and development, good nutrition is linked to improved child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, and a reduced risk of non-communicable diseases.

4. SHG Group Formation/ Trainings

SHG Group Formation / Trainings given to women hailing from lower caste background. They are motivated and encouraged to be a member of an SHG, to know the importance of being a SHG member, what schemes & loans they can avail from government/NGO/non-financial institutions, whom to contact, book-keeping, record maintenance, regular meetings and so on. They are encouraged to be entrepreneurs.

5. Leadership Training

Leadership training given to have increased knowledge on leadership skills, decision making skills, dealing and leading to have a solution for all issues problems, liasoning with the local leaders, government officials to tap all welfares bestowed for them by the government departments, living a decent role model life in front of their children and community people.

6. Special Day celebrations

Health care related awareness and trainings on utilizing access to all health care services, medical/medicinal treatment, importance of having nutritious food, malnourishment, early child marriage, abuses, Pre/post Natal care, pregnancy, knowledge on air/water borne diseases, having safe sex, to have/practice healthy hygienic living, avoid extra martial affairs, to consume nutritious food and so on.
