• Sustainability of development programmes through organic farming
  • The risks involved and the contingency plans in the activities proposed area as follows There is growing interest in organic products and the market is growing but there is no overwhelming market or the consumers are not flocking to organic stores like they do for non-organic products that are cheaper compared to the organic products.  To combat this the implementing organization would organize eye opening programmes in special residential communities, which can buy the products in bulk and share it with the residents. Secondly the prices would be reasonable and not hiked like other organic stores.   Steady efforts would be taken to market the products in a way that would increase the demand. Regular updates will be given to the residential communities that buy the farm products and they will be brought to see the actual process at different stages from planting seeds to harvesting and packing so that confidence is created with the clientele and the base expanded and thus demand will be created and supply made to sustain the program.
  • As a part of sustainable development programme ATSWA TRUST has embarked upon a steady income generation programmme through organic farming projects that are in line with the rural community.
